Last Day In Kenya

June 16

This morning we attended church at Uhuru Cathedral in Nairobi. Because there was grenades thrown in two churches in Nairobi last week, we were unsure what our plans would be, but it worked out well! We were able to witness two children and two adults be baptized. It was neat to see how this is done in Kenya. Church lasted two hours.

After church we headed to The Junction. This is a shopping center with a Nakumart (Walmart). We spent a couple hours shopping here before heading to a Giraffe Center.

The giraffe center was cool. They have ten at the center currently. We were able to feed them and even kiss them. You'll have to wait for a picture! This was also a good stop for souvenirs.

We are eating supper at Reverend Trump's home.  He plays a vital role in the LCMS missions here in Kenya.

We plan to head to the airport about 7 pm. Our flight leaves at 10:25 pm or so and we should be in Amsterdam around 5 am.

It's been a great trip here for this mercy experience. I'm very thankful to have had this opportunity. I will post more in the upcoming days.
